Circle Time & Golden Time

Children need to develop confidence and the skills to work together to help them become successful learners.

Circle Time sessions help children develop confidence, self esteem and learn about important issues such as friendship, solving problems and getting along together. It also provides a safe time to work together to share ideas and solve class and school problems.

Golden Time is a weekly session which children earn by trying hard and behaving well at school. During Golden Time children can chose what they do and staff work alongside them to value this session. The ‘Friends of’ (PTA) often donate money to the school which is spent on making sure activities in Golden Time are enjoyable and fun.

I like Circle Time because there are lots of fun games.  It helps us think.

Jessica, Year 2

You get to ask questions, you can talk to your teachers and your friends.  You can remember things to help you.
George, Year 1

There are lots of fun games for everyone to enjoy.  We talk about stuff that has been taken into circle time that we can’t sort out.  It helps everyone.
