The ‘Friends of’ helps to fundraise for the school by organising events throughout the school year.

It is run by parents and everyone is welcome to come along and join the committee.  Information about the ‘Friends of’ can be found in the school’s newsletters.

The main fundraising event each year is the annual summer barbeque which is a very popular event in Old Catton.  This event is usually the first Friday night in July and is a great family night out.

The ‘Friends of’ also organise family bingo nights during the year, a Christmas fair and Easter events.  Discos also take place for the children.

The ‘Friends of’ have paid for many projects in recent years including:

• The gazebo / outdoor classroom,
• The fence around the front lawn,
• The new sensory garden,
• A fence and hedge to improve the nature area,
• Money for educational visits for every child,
• Road safety shows,
• Money for Golden Time toys,
• …and more!

There are lots of ways of helping to support the ‘Friends of’ including recycling glass using the school bottle bank and having a clear out using the Bags2School blue bags.  Every penny raised goes directly to the children so please look out for ways you may be able to help.
