Parent Support Advisor
What is a Parent Support Adviser?
The Sprowston cluster of schools (all schools who feed into Sprowston High School) employs two Parent Support Advisers called Gemma Murray and Tim Lee.
Our Parent Support Advisers are available to give advice and support on a wide range of issues. Parents are free to contact them directly or the school can make a referral if parents request one. All contact and discussions can be entirely confidential.
Please see the information below for more detail about their role.
Some quotes from parents in the Sprowston Cluster who have worked with Gemma:
“Good listening, putting across other points, made me stronger and has given me the confidence and push I needed to take more control at home”.
“Listening and asking questions which helped me to answer my own fears and questions”.
“Gemma helped by putting the right support in place. She was great with my daughter. She arranged meetings with the school. She was able to meet us at home and it was really helpful because I have a younger son and no transport”.
“Listening and asking questions which helped me to answer my own fears and questions”.
“Gemma gave me the confidence and the boost I needed. She also gave me guidance. She helped me to cope better with everyday things. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. A very helpful source of information and advice. She also supported me at the time of my Dad passing”.
